Our voice safety promise
Last updated: June 11, 2026
Only consenting adults
Lulani clones the voices of consenting adults, and no one else. Every voice begins with a spoken consent statement, recorded in the same session as the voice sample. If there is no spoken consent, there is no voice.
We do not accept uploaded audio files for cloning, and we do not clone the voices of people who have passed away.
We never record children
Children listen. They are never recorded, never asked to speak into the app, and never given a microphone. A child's profile in Lulani is just a first name and an age range, nothing more.
Your audio is never training data
The recordings your family makes are used for one purpose: reading stories to your children. We never use your audio to train AI models, and our voice technology providers are contractually required to follow the same rule.
Every story passes three gates
Stories are built from your choices, never from open-ended prompts. A second, independent review checks every story for age fit, fright, and faithfulness to the tradition it comes from. And nothing new ever reaches your child until you have approved it yourself.
Sacred texts are treated with care
Faith stories in Lulani are gentle retellings written for children and reviewed for faithfulness. We do not generate synthetic recitations of scripture.
Questions or concerns
If you ever believe a voice was created without consent, or you see a story that should not have reached a child, write to us at hello@lulani.app and we will act immediately.
